Aileen: Anyone else think it'll be warm and sunny on Sunday? I suspect Jackie may be wearing her shorts!!
Aileen: Thanks Dawn! Going by the amount of talent on display (young and not so young!!) our 4 counties are in a very healthy state, and that's what it's all about! Appreciate your support.
Dawn Butchart: I huge thank you to Aileen and all at Angus for a great event at Edzell today. The whole concept of the day is brilliant and it is great to see all counties getting together for the good of our juniors. Well done and look forward to next year!

Mary Summers: A great couple of weeks for Angus golf. Fabulous to see both the Wilson girls triumphing playing great golf. Thanks to Aileen for her comments on my golf - my scoring a good example of how little difference there is sometimes between a good and a bad score. Well done to everyone who palyed at Lossiemouth and let's try to get more of us purple jumpers to Southerness next year!
Gail : Well Done To everyone who Played At the Angus County Champ. But I have just realised that My Camera on My Phone Takes Great Pictures Of People haha They Have Been Emailed And you will all see them soon!
Aileen: If anyone knows the results of today's Commonwealth Spoons, would you please email them to me? Thanks.
Fi Blair: Just to say i really enjoyed Sunday. It was great to see so many people taking part especially the amount of juniors that took part. Must give special credit to my partner Heather Munro, for such a small girl she fairly bats that ball around the course well I think she would have done better without me!!
Mary Summers: We tried very hard in horrid conditions! Once again a very on the ball summary from Aileen! She was our 9th player - and seemed to be everywhere keeping us well informed and always encouraging. Well done Aileen!
Jen Petrie: Managed to find yesterday's jamboree results online - delighted to see Angus beat Northern Counties! Aberdeenshire beat P & K. Go Angus!!
Aileen: Well done to Heather, Kathleen and Sue for great performances in the Vets at Barry!
Gillian Lockhart: Fab Website! I was just like to thank Aileen for a great time last week at the Scottish. Also for her tremendous talent of making people laugh - I wouldn't have the confidence to joint host the party without her - she is a star! Just a quick tip tho - its breast implants you need to help your swing - not a reduction doll! See Ya soon, Gill ( 1 half of the proclaimers!)
Aileen Hunter: Thanks Kathleen, but more importantly, can you find my golf swing and sell it back to me!!
Kathleen Sutherland: Good luck to all the Angus girls - just remember ANYTHING can happen in match-play - and often does!! Aileen - I can sell you a battery for your electric barra plus a charger - going cheap!!! Have fun!

2009 North Jamboree

Click here for the full results from the Jamboree at Dornoch.

Every member of the team tried their hearts out on a very frustrating and difficult course.  Dry conditions and a non-prevailing wind made the course trickier than I have ever witnessed a golf course to be.

It's easy to say that the results didn't reflect our teams play - but this year it's particularly true and I know that Chris, Mary and I were proud of their efforts and steely will to do the very best they could.

With six members of our team in their teens and twenties we have a fantastic platform to build on over the next few years and with experienced players like Shonagh, Mary and Jackie around to support them it hopefully won't be too long before the Angus County team are holding some silverware.

An agreement at the Captain's meeting mean that teams had to play their Curtis Cup players,  Internationalists and County champions first in that order,  and that made for some fantastic ties.

I'm sure the team would like to thank Nancy, Graham, Dorothy and Christina for their support and the local members who pulled trollies.

Next year the Jamboree is at Landsdowne,  Blairgowrie - less of a trek for sure!
