Mary Summers: A great couple of weeks for Angus golf. Fabulous to see both the Wilson girls triumphing playing great golf. Thanks to Aileen for her comments on my golf - my scoring a good example of how little difference there is sometimes between a good and a bad score. Well done to everyone who palyed at Lossiemouth and let's try to get more of us purple jumpers to Southerness next year!

Fi Blair: Just to say i really enjoyed Sunday. It was great to see so many people taking part especially the amount of juniors that took part. Must give special credit to my partner Heather Munro, for such a small girl she fairly bats that ball around the course well I think she would have done better without me!!
Mary Summers: We tried very hard in horrid conditions! Once again a very on the ball summary from Aileen! She was our 9th player - and seemed to be everywhere keeping us well informed and always encouraging. Well done Aileen!

Scottish 2009 - Southerness

Well done Angus is all I can say after an excellent scottish for the local girlies.

To start with we had 3 players in the top ten strokeplay qualifying slots - Katy at no 3,  Ann at No 7 and Ailsa at No 9.

Ailsa and Gail both won trophies for strokeplay rounds.

In the matchplay,  Ailsa lost out to experienced former internationalist Sara Bishop in round 1.  Katie and Ann progressed to round 2,  where Ann lost to eventual finalist Louise Kenney and Katy just lost out at 18th to the wee wonder, Lesley Atkins.

Heather and I managed (due to a succession of hair appointments, caddy duties, Beyonce concerts, exams and proposed hangovers) to qualify for the Rosebowl but we both bowed out at the first hurdle.

The icing on the cake is the announcement on Saturday that Ailsa has been selected to play for Scotland in the European Junior Masters in France in July - great result and well done to Ailsa from all of us
